SAVORY BEEF STEW 
2 lbs. sirloin tips (can use chuck), cut bite size
2 med. onions, sliced
5 carrots, sliced
4 potatoes, peeled and cut up
4 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. ketchup

Brown onions and beef and drain. Place in 2 1/2 or 3 quart casserole along with carrots and potatoes and toss. Sprinkle the mixed dry ingredients over the top. Over this, pour the 3 cups boiling water and drizzle ketchup and vinegar over all. (No need to mix as it will take care of itself!) Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
