KIFLINGS (VIENNESE CRESCENTS) 
1 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. ground almonds (unbleached)
1 tsp. vanilla
Confectioners' sugar

Cream butter; add sugar, flour, almonds, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Shape with fingers into crescents, about 3 inches long and 1 inch thick. Arrange on buttered cookie sheet. Bake 35 minutes at 300 degrees. Roll in confectioners' sugar. Cool. Roll in sugar again. Makes 36.
