PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix (in a pinch I used premade pound cake from the store)
2 lg. boxes Jello instant vanilla pudding
6 c. cold milk
2 cans fruit pie filling (I like to use 2 different colors)
1 (20 oz.) can undrained crushed pineapple
2 (8 oz.) containers Cool Whip
6 bananas
Cherries and nuts for top

Mix cake as directed on box and put in a 9x13 greased and floured cake pan. Bake as directed. Cool and cut into 3 equal parts. Mix vanilla pudding and milk as directed on box. Set aside until thickened, then fold 1 container Cool Whip; keep cool.

In a large punch bowl crumble 1/3 of the cake in the bottom, spoon 1/3 of the pineapple over this. Next slice 2 bananas over this, then spoon 1/3 of the pudding mixture over the bananas. Spoon enough of the pie filling around the edge of the bowl to show and spread the rest in the center.
