Grease 10x6x2-inch baking dish. Combine in dish: 2 cups plain bread cubes (no crust) 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese Combine in bowl: 4 beaten eggs 2 cups milk 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon mustard 1/8 teaspoon onion powder dash of pepper Pour over bread crumbs and add 4 slices of crisp bacon over top. Bake at 325°F for 55 to 60 minutes. Can be made ahead and kept in refrigerator. |
