CHICKEN FOR A CROWD 
6 broiler fryers, split (1 1/2 to 2 lb. each)
2 c. salad oil
1/2 c. lime or lemon juice
1/4 c. honey

Wash chicken halves, then dry. Mix salad oil, lime or lemon juice, and salt in a small saucepan, brush part over chicken. Place, skin side up, on grill about 6 inches above hot coals.

Grill, turning and brushing often with more sauce for 1 hour. Stir honey into remaining sauce, brush over chickens. Continue grilling, turning often and brushing with remaining sauce, 15 minutes, or until golden brown and joints move easily.
