DEVONSHIRE PUDDING 
3 slices dry white bread
2 1/2 c. milk
1/2 stick butter
2 tbsp. sugar
3 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
apricot jam
whipped cream

Bring milk, butter and sugar to a boil and pour on small pieces of bread; add beaten egg yolks and stiffly beaten egg whites. Place the mixture in a dish or bowl and bake at 350°F for about an hour. (When baking place dish or bowl in a pan of water.)

To serve, spread apricot jam and whipped cream.
