Cube 13 slices of bread. Put in large casserole (13 x 9 inch). Put butter in skillet. Saute 1 small onion and green pepper, chopped. Melt 1 stick of butter and 3/4 pound Velveeta cheese. Cube 1 cup of ham or 1 pound of sausage which has been cooked and drained.
Spread meat over bread. Cover with onions and peppers. Pour cheese and butter mixture next. Then beat 8 eggs good and add 2 1/2 cups milk; pour over all. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. (If any is left, it can be frozen.)
