1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. granulated sugar 1/2 c. packed brown sugar 1 egg 2 tbsp. milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. whole wheat flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. quick cooking oats 1 c. Wheaties cereal 1/2 c. shredded coconut Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix shortening, sugars, egg, milk and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on to ungreased cookie sheet Bake 10-12 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Makes 3 dozen. |
