TEXAS PECAN PIE 
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. melted butter
3 well beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. pecan halves

Prepare one 9 inch unbaked pie shell. Mix sugar, corn syrup, vanilla and melted butter. Add well beaten eggs and pecans. Fill pie shell. Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool thoroughly before serving.
