FUDGE CAKE 
2/3 c. butter, softened
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. ice water

Cream together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy. Blend in cooled chocolate. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with ice water, beating well after each addition. Bake in 13 x 9-inch pan or 9-inch layer cake pans (1 1/2 inches high). Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
