HIILARIE'S HOLIDAY SUGAR COOKIES | |
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar 1/2 c. butter, softened 1/2 c. butter, softened 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. almond extract 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cream of tartar Mix powdered sugar, butter, butter, egg, vanilla and almond extract with electric mixer. Stir in flour, baking soda and cream of tartar, use a little more flour if needed. Roll into two balls and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate 2 hours. Roll out 1/2 dough at a time sandwiched between Saran Wrap that is lightly floured and cut into your favorite holiday shape. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 7 to 8 minutes in an oven at 375 degrees. Frost and decorate as desired after cookies have cooled. |
