GROUND CHERRY PIE 
1 1/2-2 c. ground cherries, washed
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar

Boil above ingredients until soft.

Separate 3 eggs

Combine together:

3 egg yolks
5 oz. can evaporated milk
3 tbsp. cornstarch

Add to the cooked mixture and boil until thick. Add:

2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Make meringue from 3 egg whites. Pour filling into baked pie shell and top with meringue. Bake meringue until golden.
