CUPBOARD COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. old-fashioned rolled oats
1 c. crushed corn flakes cereal
Granulated sugar
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. chocolate chips
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, oil and vanilla, beating well. Stir in next oats, cornflakes, coconut, pecans and chips. Sift flour, baking soda and salt into mixture. Mix thoroughly.

Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar and place on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with a fork dipped in cold water. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned around edges. Cool cookies on baking sheets before removing. Store in airtight container.
