RHUBARB BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 egg 1 c. buttermilk 2/3 c. oil 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 2 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. diced rhubarb 1/2 c. nuts, if desired Cream brown sugar, oil, egg and vanilla. Add flour, soda, salt alternately with buttermilk. Pour batter into greased bread pans. Mix 1/2 cup white sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over top of batter. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of melted butter over the top of sugar and cinnamon mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes. |
