TACO SALAD 
1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
1/2 c. water
4 med. tomatoes
1 lg. onion
1 (8 oz.) can kidney beans
8 oz. cheddar cheese
1 head lettuce
1 (12 oz.) pkg. Frito corn chips
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. taco sauce
1 (8 oz.) bottle Thousand Island dressing

Brown ground beef in a large skillet; drain grease. Add taco seasoning (saving 1 tablespoon for dressing) and 1/2 cup water. Cook 15 minutes over low heat and cool. Chop tomatoes and onion; rinse kidney beans, grate cheese, shred lettuce, crumble Fritos. Make dressing by combining taco seasoning mix with sugar, taco sauce and Thousand Island dressing. Just before serving, combine all ingredients and toss well. 10 to 12 servings.
