CLAM CHOWDER 
bacon
2 medium potatoes, cut up small and boiled
1 medium onion, chopped fine
about 1 qtsp. milk
1 can creamed corn
1 can clams, minced
salt and pepper to taste

Fry several pieces of bacon, cut in small pieces. Before bacon is done, add onion. When bacon and onions have cooled slightly, add to drained potatoes. Add corn, clams and milk.* Let simmer to become warm through. Add salt and pepper to taste.

*May combine some of the cold milk with 1/4 cup flour, mixing well, and add to soup to thicken it.
