GERMAN CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. Adams Butter Flavor
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. sweet chocolate

Cream sugar and shortening; add vanilla. Add eggs, flavors and buttermilk. Sift together flour, soda and salt; add to sugar mixture. Mix well. Add chocolate that has been softened over double boiler. Blend together well. Cook in 9 inch stem pan that has been greased and dusted with flour. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
