IRISH WHOLE WHEAT BREAD
3 lbs. whole wheat flour
3 tsp. salt
1 oz. yeast (dry) or 2 oz. fresh
3 tbsp. molasses or clear honey
2 tbsp. vegetable oil

Mix flour and salt in large bowl. Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water and molasses. Let stand 15 minutes or until yeast begins to froth. Add to flour mixture, then oil and enough water to make a sticky dough. DO NOT KNEAD. Spoon dough into pans and let rise until double in bulk.

Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 40 minutes.

NOTE: This is a heavy bread. Sunflower seeds, nuts or raisins added to dough is recommended. Freezes well.
