CHILLED FRUIT SALAD 
2 c. diced unpeeled red apples
1 c. diced unpeeled yellow apple
2 large bananas, peeled and sliced
1 c. sliced celery
1 c. walnut pieces
1 c. flaked coconut
1/4 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
dash of salt
1/2 c. whipping cream, whipped
romaine lettuce leaves

Combine apples, bananas, celery, walnuts and coconut.

Dressing: Prepare dressing by blending mayonnaise, sugar, lemon juice and salt. Fold whipped cream into mayonnaise mixture. Gently fold into fruit mixture and chill. Arrange lettuce leaves in single serving or large serving bowl. Spoon in fruit salad. Garnish with apple slices that have been brushed with lemon juice.

Serves 6 to 8.
