QUICK & EASY PEANUT BRITTLE | |
2 c. sugar 3/4 c. white Karo syrup 1/2 c. cold water 1 lb. (2 c.) raw peanuts 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda Cook sugar, syrup and water to boil. Add peanuts. Cook with candy thermometer until it reaches 300 degrees, hard crack. Add salt and baking soda; stir real good. Pour on buttered cookie sheet and let cool. After cooled, break into small pieces. |
