1 - 1 1/2 lb. round steak 1 med. onion 4-6 slices bacon Flour Salt Pepper Pound out steak with salt and pepper and flour. Add more flour, cut into 4 to 6 pieces. Roll with thinly sliced onion and bacon. Secure with toothpicks cut in 1" pieces, flour again. Brown in skillet with lid. When all are brown. Cover with water and lid. Let simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Stir several times so it does not stick. This dish makes its own gravy. |
