PIGS IN THE BLANKET 
2 lb. pork sausage
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. allspice; optional
3 c. all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 c. milk
2 eggs, beaten

Crumble sausage, salt, pepper and allspice in medium bowl. Mix well shape into sausage about 3 x 1/2 inch; cover and chill. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; cut in butter until crumbly. Beat milk and eggs together; add to dry ingredients and form into a dough.

Cover and chill at least 1 hour. Place dough on lightly floured board and roll thin, cut 3 x 4 inch rectangles. Wrap sausage in strips of dough. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Brush dough with beaten egg. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Serve warm, delicious with barbecue sauce.
