EDNA'S COFFEE CAKE 
1 1/2 sticks butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 c. milk
1 pkg. dry yeast
3/4 c. raisins
1 tbsp. cinnamon

Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup water. Set aside.

Stir butter and sugar together until smooth. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Add flour, milk and yeast which has been dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water. When blended add raisins.

Let raise overnight or until double in size. Grease loaf pan or cookie sheet or 9x9 pan. Divide dough onto 2 loaf pans or 1 cookie sheet. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp. cinnamon combined with 2 tbsp. sugar. Set aside to raise, at least 1 hour. Bake 375 degrees 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and serve.
