CHEERIO COOKIES 
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
6 c. Cheerios
1 c. pecan halves
1/2 c. slivered almonds

Dissolve first 4 ingredients. Cook for 5 more minutes. Pour in Cheerios, pecans, and almonds. Mix thoroughly. Then pour into a buttered jelly roll pan. Bake for 15 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool for 5-7 minutes. Loosen with spatula. Let stand until firm. Store in airtight container.
