1 c. soft shortening
1 3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. quick oatmeal
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Combine shortening and brown sugar and beat until creamy. Beat in eggs and peanut butter. Add flour, soda and salt until mixed. Stir in oatmeal and chocolate chips. Drop and flatten on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until brown.
