PEAR BREAD 
8 tbsp. unsalted butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, room temp.
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. allspice
1/4 c. buttermilk or yogurt
1 1/2 c. peeled, diced pears
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together butter and sugar. Beat the eggs one at a time. Combine dry ingredients. Add egg mixture alternately with buttermilk or yogurt. Stir in pears and vanilla. Pour into greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until done.
