DUTCH OVEN BISCUITS | |
2 c. all-purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 5 tbsp. unsalted butter 2/3 c. buttermilk 1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. 2. Blend in butter. 3. Add buttermilk and mix to dough (gradually add). 4. Roll out 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick round on lightly floured bread board and cut with 2 inch biscuit cutter. 5. Place in pan so biscuits are 1/2 inch from sides. Bake 12-14 minutes. Either eat hot from pan or wrap in a towel and allow to cool 15 minutes. Makes about a dozen 2 1/2 inch biscuits. |
