ELLA JORDEN'S CHUCK ROAST | |
Sear 4 - 4 1/2 pound chuck roast in 1 1/2 tablespoons oil over medium high heat in Dutch oven on top of stove. Pour 1 or 2 bottles chili sauce over roast and place in 325 degree oven for 1 hour, covered. Uncover and add 1 pound green string beans; recover and cook 1 hour more. Add parboiled head of purple cabbage and cook 1/2 hour more. |
