WASSAIL 
1 gal. cider
3 sticks cinnamon
2 whole nutmeg
4 whole spice
1 small can orange juice
apple
brown sugar
whole cloves

Mix cinnamon, nutmeg, whole spice and juice into cider. Take apple, wash and core (but not clear through). Pack full of brown sugar. Half-inch down, cut strip of peeling off apple and put whole cloves around the apple.

Bake apple at 350°F for 15 minutes in a dish of water. Put cider mixture in crock-pot. Put apple in when warm to float around and flavor. Keep warm.
