NUT BREAD
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 beaten egg
1 2/3 c. milk
1/4 c. cooking oil
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. In another mixing bowl combine beaten egg, milk and cooking oil. Add to flour mixture, stirring just until combined. Stir nuts into batter.

Pour nut bread batter into a greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan, two 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 2 inch loaf pans. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 to 1 1/4 hours for the 9x5x3 inch loaf (for 40 to 45 minutes for the 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 2 inch loaf pans), or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool in the pan or pans for 10 minutes. Remove; cool thoroughly on wire racks. Wrap and store overnight before slicing. Makes 1 large loaf, 2 small, or 6 mini loaves. (18 servings)
