SALMON PATTIES 
1 (16 oz.) can salmon
1 egg
1/3 c. minced onion
1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Drain salmon and set aside 2 tablespoons of salmon juice. In medium mixing bowl, mix salmon, egg and onion until sticky. Stir in flour. Add baking powder to salmon juice. Stir in salmon mixture. Form into small patties and fry until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Turn once. Fry in about 1 1/2 tablespoons of hot Crisco. Serve with tartar sauce.
