TUNA SQUARES | |
3 (6 1/2 or 7 oz.) cans tuna, drained 18 saltine crackers, finely crushed 3 eggs 1 sm. onion, grated 1 c. finely chopped celery 1 c. milk 3/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper About 1 1/2 hours before serving, or early in the day; in large bowl with fork or pastry blender, combine all ingredients until well mixed and smooth. Pour mixture into well greased 9 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake in 350 degree oven 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cut into squares. Garnish with olive slices. Serve hot or refrigerator for later. 9 servings. A cream sauce with peas can also be poured on. |
