STRAWBERRY WAFFLE DELIGHT 
1 qt. milk, heated to a boil
4 c. quick rolled oats (old fashioned)
2/3 c. sifted flour
5 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
4 eggs, separated
2/3 c. melted shortening or oil

Pour hot milk over oats, cool. Measure and sift flour, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl. Beat yolks into milk-oats mixture. Stir in shortening and dry ingredients. Fold in beaten whites. Cook in waffle iron.

TOPPING:

1/2 lb. butter
2 c. powdered sugar
1 pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed

Put topping over hot waffles.
