SOPA DE LA CASA 
8 slices bacon, diced (1/4 lb. ground beef or sausage)
1 1/4 c. chopped onion
1 1/4 c. chopped celery
2 green peppers, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans chicken broth
1 (31 oz.) can refried beans
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. chili powder (less)
Tortilla chips, shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Cook bacon until crisp. Drain half drippings. Add onion, celery, green pepper, garlic. Saute until tender. Blend in chicken broth, bean pepper and chili powder. Bring to boil, remove from heat. Garnish with chips and cheese. Enjoy!
