CINNAMON STICKS 
1 c. shortening
6 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
2 tbsp. sugar mixed with 1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add flour and pecans. Chill 1 hour. Roll a teaspoonful of dough between palm of your hands to form a stick. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool 1 to 2 minutes on cookie sheet before removing. While cookies are still warm, roll in sugar cinnamon mixture.
