CANDIED WALNUTS 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. white corn syrup
1/4 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla

In a 2 quart pan, mix first four ingredients. Cook to soft ball stage (238 degrees). Add walnuts and vanilla and stir until creamy. Quickly turn out onto waxed paper and separate with forks.
