CURRIED SPLIT PEA SOUP 
1/2 (16 oz.) pkg. dry split green peas
1 tbsp. minced onion
1 med. sized carrot, diced
3 chicken flavor bouillon cubes
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. curry powder
Dash cayenne pepper
Diced ham

In quart saucepan over medium heat, heat peas, remaining ingredients and 5 cups water to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 1 hour 50 minutes or until peas are tender. Serves 4.
