MY FAVORITE GINGER SNAPS 
2/3 c. vegetable oil
1 c. sugar
1 egg
4 tbsp. molasses
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger powder
1 tsp. cinnamon powder

Mix oil, sugar, egg and molasses together until light and fluffy. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and spices. Add to oil mixture and blend well. Drop teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets, press down with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
