TURKISH PILAF 
1/4 c. butter
1 onion, finely chopped
2 c. white rice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. mace
1/8 tsp. cloves
5 c. beef broth (2 bouillon cubes and 5 c. water)

Saute onion in butter. Add rest of ingredients and simmer 20 minutes.

Saute: 1/4 c. pine nuts 1/4 c. slivered almonds 1/4 c. black currants

Toss into cooked rice. Serves 8-10.
