APPLE CRISP 
1/4 c. butter
2 tbsp. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. walnuts, chopped

APPLE MIXTURE:

1 can (21 oz.) apple pie filling
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Heat oven to 400 degrees.

1. Mix butter crunch ingredients with hands. Spread in ungreased 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake until light brown, about 15 minutes. Stir with spoon; cool.

2. Mix remaining ingredients. Place apple mixture in ungreased 9 inch pie pan or 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish.

3. Sprinkle the butter crunch evenly on top. (To serve immediately, bake uncovered in 450 degree oven until golden brown and bubbly, about 10 minutes.) Cover and refrigerate.

4. 30 minutes before serving: Heat oven to 450 degrees. Bake apple crisp uncovered until golden brown and bubbly, about 20 minutes. Delicious topped with ice cream. Makes 4 servings.
