APRICOT JAM SQUARES | |
1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. sugar 1 egg 1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring 1 1/2 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. cloves 2 tbsp. cream 1 c. apricot jam Cream butter, add sugar. Cream until fluffy. Add egg and lemon flavoring. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Add cream and blend well. Pour into a well-buttered and floured oblong cake pan; put 1/2 of this mixture. Spread jam over batter, cover jam with remaining batter. Bake about 35 to 40 minutes at 375 degrees. |
