ENGLISH CHEESE CHOWDER | |
1 c. carrots, finely chopped 1 c. celery, finely chopped 1/4 c. onion, finely chopped 1 3/4 c. chicken broth 2 c. milk 1/4 c. flour Dash of paprika Dash of salt 2 c. grated Old English sharp American cheese (Kraft) Combine carrots, celery, and onion; add chicken broth. Heat to boiling; reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Combine milk, flour, and seasonings; stir until smooth. Add to broth; stir until thick and bubbly. Add cheese and stir until smooth and melted. Serves 4-6. |
