DO AHEAD BREAKFAST SQUARES | |
3 c. milk 8-10 eggs 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. salt Grease large pan, 10 x 13 x 2 inches deep. Layer slices of white bread in pan, 6-8 slices. Sprinkle sharp cheddar cheese over it (optional - add diced ham or crumbled bacon. Pour above ingredients over bread. Next morning: crush corn flakes to make 2 cups and sprinkle over the top of the mixture. Then drizzle 1/2 cup melted butter over this. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. If Corning Ware or glass pan is used, bake at 325 degrees. Cut into squares and serve. |
