CREAM CHEESE GIFT BREAD 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
1 c. softened butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. chopped candied cherries
1/4 c. slivered almonds
1 c. confectioners' sugar & touch of milk
Optional to mix into the batter:
3/4 c. chopped, candied cherries
1/2 c. slivered almonds

For best results: You will need 3 (1 pound) coffee cans for this recipe.

Blend cream cheese, butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix well. Add 2 1/4 cups flour sifted with baking powder. (Optional - add 2 cups of sifted flour with baking powder - then combine 1/4 cup flour with cherries and 1/2 cup almonds, fold into batter.)

Divide batter evenly amongst 3 well greased coffee cans and bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes, check often to avoid over baking. Allow to cool. Glaze with confectioners' sugar and then top with chopped candied cherries and nuts. Place in a food storage bag and tie with a ribbon!
