CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal, regular or quick cooking
Approx. 3 oz. milk chocolate bar
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts (opt.)

Cream together butter and brown and white sugars. Add the eggs and stir in the salt, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla and flour. In a blender combine the oatmeal and chocolate bar. Add to the batter along with the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 9 to 10 minutes. Makes 4 to 5 dozen.
