CAMPER'S DINNER-IN-A-POT 
2 (1 1/2 lbs.) cans beef stew
1 (1 lb.) can mixed vegetables, drained
1 can tomato sauce
1/2 c. chopped onion or 2 tbsp. minced onion
1 tsp. chili powder
2 c. biscuit mix
3/4 c. milk

Combine beef stew, vegetables, tomato sauce, onion and chili powder in large Dutch oven with a close fitting cover; mix. Cover and allow to heat until bubbling gently, stirring frequently.

While stew is heating, combine biscuit mix and milk, and stir with a fork until dry ingredients are moistened. Spoon 10 equal portions of dough into hot stew. Cover; steam dumplings until done, about 15 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
