NANNY'S POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter, Land 'O Lakes, room temperature
6 eggs
1/2 pt. whipping cream, do not whip
3 c. Swans Down cake flour, sifted 3 times
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring OR 1 tbsp. lemon flavoring

Cream sugar and butter together. Add eggs, one at a time alternately with flour. Add cream and flavoring of your choice. Beat until soft and smooth. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour, turn heat up to 350 degrees and bake another 15 to 20 minutes until cake tester comes out clean when inserted in center of cake.
