WEST VIRGINIA HILLBILLY BISCUITS 
5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
2 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. baking powder
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. water

Cut shortening in flour. Add dry ingredients and mix. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Then mix in dry ingredients; add buttermilk; mix well. Cover and stove in cool dry place. Bake as needed by shaping into biscuits and baking in 425 degree oven until brown.
