DADDY'S BUTTERMILK BISCUITS
Biscuits will rise to about 2-inches high while baking!

2 cups all-purpose flour
4 tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 whole eggs
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup buttermilk

In a large bowl mix together all dry ingredients first. Then mix together all wet ingredients separately. Once both dry and wet ingredients are well mixed together, then pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir and continue stirring until the mixture forms a ball and holds together.

Note: Add flour as needed to get the dough just right.

After the dough is ready lightly flour a hard surface and pat or roll out the dough until about a 1/2-inch thick. Next dip a glass into some flour and use it to cut out your biscuits.

Place biscuits on a cookie sheet and bake at 450°F for 12 minutes. Once you pull them out of the oven use a basting brush to butter the tops and bottoms.

Tip: Use a baking stone for best results.
