1 c. water 1 stick butter 1 c. flour 4 lg. eggs 1/2 c. sugar 1/3 c. flour 2 c. milk 2 eggs 1 tbsp. vanilla Bring water and butter to a rolling boil. Add flour and quickly stir to form a ball. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Use ungreased cookie sheet to bake for around 45 minutes at 400 degrees. Make sure they are crisp and dry. To make the cream, in a saucepan combine sugar, flour, and milk. Bring to a boil and thicken for about one minute. Add half the cream mixture to the two eggs and beat together. Then add it to the rest back in the saucepan and bring to a boil. Cool and add vanilla. CHOCOLATE ICING: 2 tbsp. butter, melted 2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate 2 c. confectioners sugar Enough boiling water to make pouring consistency Melt butter with unsweetened chocolate. Add two cups confectioners sugar and enough boiling water to make pouring consistency. After the puffs are cooled, cut a slit in the side and take out any uncooked dough. Then fill with cream and top with chocolate and eat them!! Yields 12 servings. |
